Hot from the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne rolls a smoking Morpheus purple 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T. All kitted up with a GTR front bar, Bomex side skirts and rear bar, this Skyline looks the goods. Also boasting slight mods to the engine such as a front mounted intercooler, Blitz BOV and a full exhaust system with a Varex muffler while ridding on a slick set of 20inch Dolce DC-6 wheels, with blue and pink walls.
Down lights highlight the full cream leather and suede re-trim interior. Shaved air vents, cup holder, ash tray and cigarette lighter make way for crystal clear 10 X 3.5 inch and 5 X 7 inch monitors. The audio system features a Pioneer 6 stacker DVD player pumping through 2 X Alpine Type S Splits, Alpine Type S 6X9′s and a thumping Focal 11″ Sub-woofer.

The Melbourne Motor Show, now called the Australian International Motor Show, was held at The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for 10 days ending on Sunday the 10th of July.
Previously held in March, The Australian International Motor Show now aligns with the global motor show calendar, separating itself from other exhibitions in the Northern Hemisphere. This provides a wider window for manufacturers to get their new releases, concepts and show specials to the event.
More than 80,000 people flocked through the doors in the first 4 days of the show – a 27 per cent increase over the same period at last October’s show in Sydney, and a substantial 41 per cent on the attendance at the last Melbourne International show held in 2009.
This year featured more than 50 concept vehicles and future models
The Lamborghini LP 700-4 Aventador was the most powerful car in the show, with the V12 beast capable of blasting to 100km/h in 2.9 seconds.
Just 500 of these $750,000 beauties have been built.
The Audi e-tron is a one–off all-electric prototype high performance sports car is said to be worth more than $2 million.
They say if you don’t like Melbourne’s weather, just wait 5 minutes and it will change! And that’s what we did – after the gloomy skies parted we swapped our initial undercover location for the sunshine of the rooftop. Unfortunately, as we were setting up lights for the shoot, security started hassling us and we were asked to leave the premises. After relocating, the sunshine then turned to drizzle and the day was starting to look like a failure only to once again clear up. We love Melbourne!
Big thanks to Paul for the shoot, Peter for bringing his Skyline, Fiona for shuffling, and our lovely model Maria! Photos up soon – in the mean time check out the behind the scenes.
